  1. Whatever sixteen-spot camouflage evolved for (or evolved in, to avoid teleology) it wasn't this flower.

  2. It was not! But you still have to look hard to see anything this small. And see how its colour matches the background, which has been rendered impressionistic by the long lens, so it should blend quite well into other parts of the meadow.
