Milkworts

Milkwort flowers come in a range of colours; blues, pinks, and in-between. I thought some of these might be a scarcer species, the Chalk Milkwort, Polygala calcarea. After all, the Orchid Bank is practically pure chalk. But no, I was assured by the local ranger that these are all commoners.

The first two photos were taken with my Ixus 100; the last two with the EOS 450D and 100mm macro lens.
